John H. Kim, M.D., FACOG, Physician

I am board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. After graduating from Yale University where I earned my undergraduate degree in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry, I attended The Chicago Medical School. Then, I completed my residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Brown University. I received further subspecialty fellowship training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of California, San Francisco. After years of practicing Western medicine, I was inspired by my patients to study Eastern and complementary approaches to women's health and fertility. I studied Traditional Chinese Medicine (Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine) at the Academy of Pain Research in San Francisco. This training allows me to make available to my patients the best approaches in both Western and Eastern Medicine. I am a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine.

"You are more than just a body. Your mind and spirit are capable of helping you fulfill your desire for health. I will listen to you and help you design a safe and effective approach for your healing."

Ariel Sklar, M.A., Patient Care Coordinator

I received both my B.A. and M.A. from Stanford University where I majored in Human Biology with a concentration in Women's Health. During my graduate studies in Medical Anthropology, I worked with traditional midwives in Bolivia and observed firsthand how innovative practitioners could skillfully combine biomedicine and traditional healing. I returned to California firm in the conviction that women can greatly benefit from combined therapies, especially when they select both the healing techniques and their method of integration. As such, I am delighted to be part of an integrative clinic where women can choose the healing modalities that best meet their healthcare needs.

"I look forward to helping you integrate biomedical and complementary therapies to achieve your optimum health."

Sooyoung Kwak Kim, M.Arch., Office Manager and Design Coordinator

I graduated from Ewha Women's University in Korea with a B.F.A. and an M.A. in Interior Design. I then went on to study Interior Architecture at the Art Institute of Chicago. I continued my studies at the Rhode Island School of Design and graduated with a Master's of Architecture. I believe that the space that surrounds us can promote healing. My goal is to create a space that engenders peace and harmony.

"A visit to a doctor can be very stressful. I want your experience in our office to be comfortable and calming."
